Sixth Grade Vocation Awareness Day

Sixth grade students from several Dubuque area Catholic schools spend a day at Divine Word College Seminary to learn about vocations.

The Basics

  1. 6th Grade Vocation Awareness Day is held at Divine Word College Seminary in Epworth.
  2. We provide all activities and lunch at no cost.  The schools arrange their own transportation.  Buses drop the students off at the gym door of Divine Word.  Parent drivers are welcome to do the same and stay for the day if they wish. (We do need a list of parents for a food count.)
  3. While your students are busy, teachers will be in scheduled activities. One activity will be a meeting with a vocation director for a brief presentation as well as a question and answer time. This is your chance to tell us how we can serve and assist you in your classroom!
  4. Everyone receives a box-type lunch in a 25-minute lunch period.
  5. We have volunteer adults, parents and Catholic Sisters on hand to assist with all activities.
